  • Be a national of a country outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland.
  • Work remotely for a company or clients based outside Spain, with a working relationship of at least 3 months.
  • The company has been operating for more than 1 year.

Benefits

What the visa secures for you

Family included

Your spouse or partner and dependent children can join the same process and live with you.

Residency of up to 3 years

When applied for inside Spain, the authorization can be valid for up to 3 years and is renewable.

Path to permanence

You may apply for long-term residency or citizenship when the relevant residence periods and eligibility requirements are met. Neither is automatic.

Travel in the Schengen area

Spanish residency allows visits to other Schengen countries for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, subject to entry conditions. It does not grant residence or work rights there.

Healthcare coverage

You must demonstrate public or private healthcare coverage accepted in Spain. We review the documentation applicable to your case.

Possible tax advantage

In some cases you can apply for Spain's special tax regime for inbound workers. We assess your eligibility.

Two routes

Where you are right now shapes the process

We handle both scenarios. In the first call we define which one fits your case.

You are in the United States or another country

Apply through your Spanish consulate

If you live in the United States, we help you prepare your documentation and identify the Spanish consulate responsible for your place of residence. We review your nationality and work arrangements before you apply.

You are already in Spain

Apply from inside Spain

If you are legally in Spain and meet the requirements, we can guide your residence authorization application there.

Frequently asked questions

Clearing up the questions

Do I need to speak Spanish to get the visa?

Language is not a formal requirement of the teleworking visa. Speaking Spanish helps your day‑to‑day life, but it is not what decides the approval.

Can I bring my family?

Yes. Your spouse or partner and dependent children can be included in the same process and live with you in Spain.

Do I have to quit my job?

No, it is the opposite. The whole point of the visa is to let you keep your remote job while you move to Spain.

How long does it take?

Applications filed inside Spain are usually answered in about 20 business days. Through a consulate the timing varies. We give you an estimate for your case in the initial assessment.

What if I am already living in Spain?

This route requires you to be legally in Spain and meet the authorization requirements. We assess your circumstances before you apply.

Do you guarantee approval?

The final decision always rests with the Spanish government, and no serious firm promises a guaranteed approval. Our job is to prepare your case as strongly as possible and guide you through every step.
